The technique is considered to be one of its kind being used in the medical field, both in public and private sectors in the emirate.

Using developed technologies in the Dohms hospitals will help raise the degree of therapeutic services provided to patients and attaining international standards through a developmental programme, said Dr Khadem Younis of Rashid Hospital.

Dr Younis explained that except for vessels in the heart and brain, the new device is very efficient in checking all blood vessels in the body.

It will help doctors to establish an exclusive study on blood vessels, and providing high technological services without the need for X-ray scans. Since the technique helps in diagnosing the condition of blood vessels it will help decrease the pressure on the surgery department by suggesting whether or not a surgery is needed.
