Cyclist dies in Sharjah accident
SHARJAH - A cyclist died on the spot after he was involved in accident with a car in the 4th Industrial Area.
Police said the man was riding his bicycle and entered the road without ensuring that traffic was clear. He hit a car driven by a 24-year-old UAE national woman at Al Darari Square. The man died on the spot.
"The main cause of the accident was that the cyclist did not ensure that the road was clear to enter. He tried to cross from the right to the left side of the road (towards the 4th Industrial Area Square), and the accident happened," said a police officer.
