The hospital has been under construction for just over two years and will start receiving patients in the next two weeks. The hospital’s services will include cardiology, surgery, paediatric, obstetrics and gynaecology, ophthalmology, ENT, physiotherapy, orthopaedics, radiology, anaesthetic, intensive care unit, internal medicine, dietetics and ER services.
“The hospital has cost us over Dh100 million so far. The contractors have done a tremendous job and it looks like we are opening one month ahead of schedule,” said Riad Al Jord, specialist ophthalmologist and Managing Director of International Modern Hospital.
“We believe that our investment is very timely and the healthcare market is crying out for high standards in medical treatments in the region. The growth of Dubai in the last three years and with the advent of more and more professional people to the UAE the demand for quality health service we provide is bound to increase. This growth is not just happening here in the UAE but regionally as well. “We also believe the high quality medical care we provide, the luxurious surroundings coupled with the latest medical technology, highly qualified surgeons and medical staff will make IMH an attractive prospect for patients from all over the region,” added Dr Al Jord.
The International Medical Group which also owns International Private Hospital, the first private hospital in Dubai, as well as the International Medical Centre in Jumeirah has strong ties with several international medical institutes and well respected specialists in various medical fields. Dr Al Jord, who trained under the famous Prof. Fyodorov, opened the first modern ophthalmological clinic in the UAE.
Our outpatient clinics, ophthalmology department, cardiology and ENT clinics are going to be ready to open their doors by the end of the week,” added Dr. Al Jord.
