An acclaimed German safety-certifying agency inspected the 30 fun rides that started operating only when it was found that they had met the safety requirements.
The tests that were conducted were based on three major EU safety regulations — Fairground and Amusement Park Machinery and Structures Safety, Operation of Electrical Installations and European Inspection Agency Guidelines for Approval and Safety Inspection of Amusement Rides.
These comprehensive tests included checking critical structures and mechanical parts, key operational tests to compare performance criteria of similar rides and inspection of key electrical installations and control functions for their proper operation.
Abdul Redha Ali bin Redha, CEO, Global Village, said, “Great care is being taken to ensure that fun rides operators are trained in maintaining safety levels. We are thus committed to providing not just entertainment, but also securing the safety of every visitor in accordance with international health, safety and environment (HSE) standard.”
Such rides as ferris wheel, roller coaster, sling shot, frisbee, booster, evolution, movie star, magic, Russian mountain, Eurostar, Freij flame and samba balloon have become immensely popular with visitors.
The rides have been brought from various parts of the world and are being operated by Freij Entertainment International.
