"We are pleased to be associated with the DSF as it gives us the perfect opportunity to showcase Dubailand, the exceptional entertainment project, to regional and international visitors who are expected to visit Dubai during DSF. We also wish to re-emphasise the exceptional features of Dubailand to the UAE residents," said Salem bin Dasmal, CEO of Dubailand.

Added bin Dasmal: "As the Global Village is now a part of Dubailand, the management plans to continue the activities of the Global Village for eight months every year starting at 2006. The plan is to construct permanent buildings and stalls over the next couple of years. Infrastructure at Global Village will be improved to suit this transformation in its scope of activities including buildings, restaurants, stalls, and games."

Dubailand will also host 'Aga - Boom', the critically acclaimed sell-out Broadway comedy in modern theatre at the Global Village during DSF in a theatre designed especially for the show. The show will be held from January 20-24, 2005.

The Dubailand Chief Executive pointed out that Dubailand is the region's — if not the world's — single largest and most comprehensive tourism, leisure, entertainment and lifestyle complex rivalling the likes of Orlando in the USA.
