This programme on the theme of "Safety in Adherence" is organised under the auspices of Shaikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Interior.
The inauguration will be attended by senior members of Abu Dhabi Police and the Ministry of Interior.
The activities on the opening day include the inauguration of the traffic exhibition that witnesses the participation of several private and governmental bodies. Moreover, a traffic village will be set up. Besides free drawings, electronic drawings, competitions and distribution of awards will be carried out.
Captain Naser Khadim Al Qa'abi, head of the public contact committee affiliated to the sub-organising committee in Abu Dhabi, stated that the programme includes some visits to the people admitted to hospitals following traffic accidents.
Besides, he said, forums will be held and traffic awareness lectures will be given in schools in addition to distributing awareness publications and prizes among students. A classical show of cars is also organised at the corniche, he added.
Captain Al Qa'abi urged the people to attend and take part in such activities that continue mornings and evenings.
