Honeymooners over the moon!
DUBAI — Honeymooners, Ghaith Abuzaid, a Jordanian national living in Amman and his new wife, were over the moon when they received a call to tell them that their ticket No. 0172 in series No. 1188 had won them a Mercedes Benz S500 in the Dubai Duty Free Finest Surprise Luxury Car draw.
The Abuzaids were on their honeymoon in Dubai earlier this month and had bought the ticket at Dubai Duty Free just before returning home to Jordan.
Another delighted first time winner was Osama Tayara, a Syrian national based in Damascus. Tayara, a 37-year-old businessman, was overwhelmed that his first ever ticket won him the sporty Porsche 911 Carrera Targa which was drawn at the raffle draw yesterday morning at the Shaikh Rashid Terminal.
Another winner who was announced at the draw today was Samir Bagheri, a Canadian national based in Qatar. Bagheri, who is not yet aware of his win will be the envy of his friends when they see him zoom off on a Red & Silver Harley Davidson FXDWGI Dyna Wide Glide, which he won in Series 52 with ticket No. 0224.
Following the draw, a presentation was made to previous winners. Mustafa Ali Bhai, a Tanzanian national based in Dar Es Salaam, was delighted to receive the keys of his Alabaster White Mercedes Benz S500 in Series 1183 with ticket No. 0019. Ali Bhai, who was flown to Dubai courtesy of Dubai Duty Free, was accompanied by his son Dawood and daughter-in-law Saira who both came from London.
Another winner was a Dubai-based Greek national Kiriazos Christos who stood proudly beside his Porsche 911 Carrera Targa which he won with ticket No. 0781.
