The unidentified Indian woman died on the Shaikh Rashid Road as she was crossing the road. Investigators said the woman was crossing the street from a spot not designated for pedestrian crossing. Police also blamed the accused driver who, they said, drove recklessly and at excessive speed.

A Pakistani identified as A.K. sustained moderate injuries in a collision involving two vehicles on the Shaikh Rashid Road coming from the tunnel near Lamcy plaza and the Trade Centre tunnel. The accident occurred as a result of high speed and abrupt veering of a concrete mixer vehicle. The driver of the concrete mixer was also injured and taken to Rashid Hospital

In the third accident, a 22-year-old national sustained multiple injuries when his car overturned near Al Lasili neighbourhood. Police said the accident happened as a result of high speed. He was taken to hospital for treatment.
