According to him, homeopathic treatment takes longer but has no side effects. "I analyse people's dreams and then give them medicine accordingly," he says, adding that there is homeopathic treatment for all kinds of ailments, including depression, high blood pressure, cardiac problems, infertility, skin issues, breathing problems etc.
"My experience says that dreams tell us how we look at the world. Sometimes they can be easily understood; at times they are vague and require an expert to understand and interpret them," explains the doctor, who was on a recent visit to Dubai.
Narrating some common dreams, Dr Bhatt says, "We all have dreamt about flying sometime or the other. This implies that we want to scale great heights or reach our destination in a short time."
He adds: "We experience different forms of flight in our dreams, depending on the intensity of our desires and the hard work that we put in to fulfil our desires, fears and obstacles that come in the way of our goals."
For people who forget their dreams or do not dream at all, Dr Bhatt says, "Such people may either be overworked and stressed out or their emotional needs are fulfilled to a large extent. However, there is treatment for them as well."
Recounting a memorable case, Dr Bhatt recounts how a young man belonging to an affluent family and suffering from a degenerative disease of the spine recently visited him. "His family was all praise for his generous and fine nature. But when I asked him to describe a recurring dream, he told me that he saw himself stabbing someone in the stomach and twisting the knife. He also said that he enjoyed the dream," explains Dr Bhatt.
"I guessed then that he had a split personality. When I asked his wife, she confirmed that he was abusive with her and also tortured her occasionally," he says, adding that he was given treatment accordingly and is a changed man now.
Likewise, says Dr Bhatt treatment was given to a baby girl with a skull deformity. "Diseases reflect a person's emotional turmoil. I asked for the mother's pregnancy history. Everything a woman experiences during pregnancy reflects on her baby," he explains.
"I noted the mother's recurrent dreams. They reflected too much pressure on an emotional level. She could handle the pressure but the baby couldn't during the pregnancy."
Within six months after treatment, the baby was cured. She is an intelligent seven-year-old girl today.
