IPH takes part in Sharjah Book Fair

SHARJAH - Islamic Publishing House (IPH), a major publisher of Islamic books in Malayalam, is participating in the 23rd Sharjah International Book Fair, which recently opened at the Expo Centre, Sharjah.

Based in the south Indian state of Kerala, the publishing house which is participating in the fair for the fifth consecutive year, will exhibit more than 400 titles in Malayalam this year.

“The list includes some of the latest arrivals in the market,” said A M Nawas, President of the Islamic Cultural Centre (ICC), IPH’s co-ordinators in the UAE.


Some of the recently published books like Malakhamaar Polum Chodikkunnu by Jeffery Lank, Prabhodhanam Anubhava Padhangal by Abdulla Adiyar, Quran Lalitha Saaram, Sunnathum Bidaathum and Allahuvinte Auliyakkal, Kuttikale Engane Valartham, Wasiyyath and Manideepam are expected to attract the visitors along with Ya Allah and Sasneham, written by Kamala Surayya, After the Attack of Sept. 11 by NM Hussain, Quran Lalithasaram by Vanidas Elayavoor-Shaikh Mohammed Karakkunnu, Quran Bodhanam by T K Ubaid O. Abdul Rahman, Urumbarikkunna Samskaram by Koottil Mohammadali, Agolavalkaranavum

Islamum by Dr Yousuf Al Qardawi and Soofi Kadhakal by A Rahman Munnoor.

Other titles include books by renowned Islamic thinkers and scholars such as Moulana Abul Ala Moudoodi’s Tafheemul Quran, Quran Bhashyam, and Islam Matham, a non-Muslim’s review of the Holy Quran by Vanidas Elayavoor, and a poetic translation of the Holy Quran in Malayalam by KG Raghavan Nair, Alex Haley’s Malcolm X, former German diplomat Murad Hoffman’s Diarykkurippukal, Bosnian President Alija Ali Izzat Begovich’s Islam Rajamargam and five volumes of the Islamic Encyclopaedia.

The books are available at reduced prices and facilities are provided for “register here, delivery home” scheme.
