Reflecting the policy of the civic body to encourage the staff to obtain higher academic skills and capabilities.

The new postgraduates included Fawzi Mohammed Al Shuhhi, Head of Engineering Supervision Section at the Building Department, who received a master's degree in Urban Planning from the American University of Sharjah; Osama Hashim Al Safi, Head of the Pre-qualification and Building Studies Section at the department, who got master's degree in Urban Designing from the Sydney University of Australia, and Waheed Abdulla Al Heloo, Head of Major Projects Unit, whose master's degree was in Architectural Design and City Planning for Green Environment from the University of Path in England.


Al Shuhhi joined the municipality in 1995 as an engineer and was promoted as head the Engineering Supervision Unit before being appointed as head of the Building Control Section. Currently, he is serving as head of Engineering Supervision Section at the Building Department.
