At a Press conference held yesterday, Qadi Saeed Al Muroshid, Director-General, Department of Health and Medical Services, and Gerard Vincent, President of International Hospital Federation, said the ‘IMD-IHF Dubai 2007’ would be held under the patronage of Shaikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Minister of Finance and Industry and President of the Department of Health and Medical Services.
Qadi Muroshid said the event would comprise three fixtures which include International Critical Care Conference and Exhibition – ICCC Dubai 2007 to be held in conjunction with the 2nd International Pan Arab Critical Care Medicine Congress, the International Emergency and Catastrophe Management Conference and Exhibition – IECM Dubai 2007 and the Dubai International Hospital Management Conference and Exhibition.
The conferences are hosting more than 100 international speakers and will discuss the latest trends in Critical Care Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Hospital Management, Hospital Architectural Design and Biomedical Engineering.
Vincent said a pre-conference course would be organised during IMD-IHF Dubai 2007 — the International Patient Satisfaction Index — IPSI course that uses international measurement tools to measure patient satisfaction during their visit to the hospitals.
Dr Hussein Al Rahma, Director of Intensive Care Unit at Dubai Hospital, Chairman of the International Critical Care Conference & Exhibition – ICCC Dubai 2007 said the scientific committee was able to obtain the recognition of several international critical care societies.
Dr Moein Fikri, Director of Accident and Emergency Trauma Centre at Rashid Hospital, Chairman of the International Emergency & Catastrophe Management Conference & Exhibition – IECM Dubai 2007 said the conference would deliberate on eight major topics.
