Those who took the oath of office included Shaikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Advisor and Deputy Chairman of the ADEC, Dr. Ahmed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Electricity and Water Authority and Deputy Secretary-General of the ADEC, and
Hamad Al Hurr Al Suwaidi, Chairman of the Department of Finance, and Majid Ali Al Mansouri, Chairman of the Municipal Affairs Department.
Sheikh Khalifa urged the new ADEC members to maximise their efforts in the service of the homeland in pursuit of the progress and prosperity march.
He also directed them to keep abreast of the latest developments the world is witnessing and preserve values and principles which “our State is based on and which had earned it the present prestigious standing among the countries of the world”.
Shaikh Khalifa wished them success in their duties and paid homage to the former members for their dedication in the service of the country.
For their part, the new members pledged to do their best in the service of the dear country and its people. They emphasised their determination and loyalty to advance the development drive in Abu Dhabi in particular and the UAE in general.
President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan issued yesterday, in his capacity as Ruler of Abu Dhabi, a decree restructuring the Abu Dhabi Executive Council under the chairmanship of Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces General Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The oath-taking ceremony was also attended by Shaikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in the Western Region, Shaikh Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Ruler‘s Representative in the Eastern Region, and a number of Sheikhs, ministers, ADEC members and senior officials.
