New hospital to open in Fujairah on June 6

Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the UAE Red Crescent Society (RCS), Shaikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, will attend the opening ceremony of the prestigious hospital, which is being set up by the GMC in association with the RCS.

Esam Jamal Mahmoud, Deputy Director of the GMC Hospital in Ajman, said the opening of this state-of-the-art 60-bed hospital, is part of the phase one of a Dh30 million project. Once the second phase of the project is also completed, by the end of this year, the hospital will provide a wide range of fully-integrated services to the residents of Fujeirah and the Eastern Coast.

The specialist wards of the hospital will include in its first phase paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology, internal diseases, dentistry and surgery.

No hospital charges will be levied on the opening day. Medical charges on other normal days will be nominal, he added.
