This was announced by Ibrahim Bu Melha, Vice-Chairman of the Dubai Justice Department, Dubai Attorney General and Chairman of DIHQA, who said that nominations are open from tomorrow till May 26.

"The main aim of accepting nominees earlier this year is to give the applicants a chance to memorise more chapters of the Quran and enhance their memorisation skills," he said.

Explaining the main conditions of accepting the nominations, Mr Bu Melha said that the contestants should be UAE male nationals and their age should not exceed 21 years.

"We have decided to set May 26 as the deadline for accepting participants as judges should be given adequate time to evaluate the performance of the participants and determine the final runners-up," he said.

Mr Bu Belha explained that the award played a significant role in encouraging Muslims to memorise maximum chapters of the Quran, and that the award is divided into eight branches which comprise the international and local awards, the distinguished Islamic personalities, as well as organising a number of Islamic lectures and Quran memorisation programme for inmates.
