Persistent purchaser of Postcard packs picks prize of Dh100,000

DUBAI - Buying an average of two Postcard Millionaire packs a month, Nageshwara Rao Bolla’s persistence paid off early in June when his ticket number was picked to win Dh100,000 in the Postcard Millionaire’s 48th draw.

Bolla, holder of ticket number 3555566514, was one of four Postcard Millionaire pack buyers who received their cheques of Dh100,000 each at the final weekly Wednesday draw of the 2005 Postcard Millionaire Campaign.

Joining him was Abdul Rahiman Kunnariyath, holder of ticket number 8706210524, who bought his Postcard Millionaire pack while on a holiday in the UAE. Tariq Ajaz, holder of ticket number 4972015945, bought the winning pack on his birthday, and Marissa Bagtas Ayran, holder of ticket number 5228042935, a first-time buyer of Postcard Millionaire packs. Kunnariyath, Ajaz and Ayran were winners in the 47th, 49th and 50th Postcard Millionaire draws respectively.

All four were presented their cheques at the 52nd draw of the 2005 Postcard Millionaire campaign, which was held on July 5 at Sharjah Mega Mall. Mazen Dakkak Assistant CEO — Promotions of Emirates Marketing & Promotions, picked the winning number — 2371682675, which carries a cash prize of Dh100,000. In addition to the prize money offered, participants can win a host of other prizes through the ‘scratch and win’ portion of each ticket. These include cash prizes of up to Dh10,000, gift vouchers for mobile telephones from Cellucom, and 125cc motorbikes from State Motorcycles.
