Priyadarshini celebrates Onam fest
DUBAI — Dubai Priyadarshini, a socio-cultural organisation, celebrated Onam, the harvest festival of Keralites on Friday at Sunflower Restaurant in Bur Dubai. K. Asokan, labour consul at Indian Consulate, Dubai, inaugurated the function.
N P Ramachandran, Priyadarshini president, presided over the function.
Speeches were made by PV Vivekanand, Chief Editor, Gulf Today, KPK Vengara, President, Indian Media Forum, Biju Abel Jacob from Asianet, Elvis Chummar from Malayala Manorama, Karim Venkitangu from Kairali Kala Kendra.
The ceremony featured Mohiniyattam, Kuchupidi, Bharatanatyam, folk dances, mimicry and songs. It was followed by Ona Sadya.
