Khalifa Nasser Al Suweidi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the UAE RCS, pointed out yesterday at the volunteers honouring party held at the UAE Armed Forces Officers' Club, that the event was being held to felicitate organisations for their help during Ramadan and the Eid Festival in Abu Dhabi, and the Month of Donation held in Dubai.
He said that the UAE had always topped in voluntary work, having taken giant humanitarian strides under the directives of the President, His Highness Shaikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
He said that the Ramadan and the Eid Festival and The Month of Donation, also launched in Dubai last year, had become annual charity events of repute.
