Crown Plaza Hotel organised a night concert featuring Min Trio group on December 18. The three members of the Chamber Music Group, violinist Min Yang, flutist Paul Edmond-Davies and pianist John Alley are all internationally renowned musicians.

Tonight, on December 22, Emirates Palace Hotel is hosting a musical show called Spirit of Christmas. The show which is already a smash hit in America, is popular with both children and adults. The tickets start from Dh 145.

Emirates Palace will be the venue for a “Broadway” type of show, called “The Spirit of Dance”, on December 29.

The musical show consists of a mix of Irish, Spanish and Latin-American dancing, including tango, salsa and flamenco.

Quite a different beat will be heard on the New Year’s eve at Hilton Hotel here. British band Artful Dodger is coming to the capital for the second time, to play a mixture of house and garage music, along with R&B and old school hip hop.

In the art field, Millennium Hotel is hosting a photography exhibition, which started on December 15 and it will conclude today.

Although the date has not been finalised, the first permanent art gallery in Abu Dhabi is planning to open its doors by the end of this year. Ghaf Art Gallery, on Khaleej Al Arabi Street, will present a contemporary painting exhibition by artist Mohammed Kanoo.
