Several firms violating safety norms in labour transportation
ABU DHABI - Several companies continue to violate safety norms in the transportation of workers who are not provided decent transportation.
Khaleej Times, has photographs to illustrate the violations, which were also produced before officials at the Department of Municipalities and Agriculture, only to draw a blank. Ironically, some of the pick-up vans belong to the municipal authority. Many companies do not provide air-conditioned transportation to workers even in summer.
