The Press conference was attended by Hilal Al Muheiri, representing the Sharjah Development and Economic Department, and Anis Sadek, Ansar Mall Manager.

The fifth level includes a furniture section, carpets, curtains, flowers and accessories, Chandeliers, lightings and tables, lamps, hand made carpets, and wall paper.

Mr Sadek expressed his gratitude for the media coverage.

"We have achieved too much due to the help of the media people. The successful policy, one organiser under one roof, has successfully managed to develop the Ansar Mall."

"The sixth floor will be inaugurated in September and it will include a food court and children's play area with a coffee shop. We are also getting ready for a carnival fiesta in August called Onachanta 2004, which targets around 850,000 Keralites in the UAE.

"There will be special offers and prices from each stall and the festival will include many Keralite traditional food counters, books, spices, tourism, and much more. The non-stop activity of Onachantha starts from 4pm and till 11pm. The cultural activities, special completions like painting and Onapookalam will also be a part of the fiesta," said Mr Sadek.

The event also included a draw on the first mega prize, Mercedes-Benz offered by Ansar Mall. The lucky winner was Shahnam Shirazi, a 37-year-old mother from Karachi.

Speaking to Khaleej Times, the excited Shirazi expressed gratitude to Ansar Mall for giving her a great opportunity.

"I am extremely happy at winning the first prize and the first thing I am going to do is take my children in a ride because I promised them if I win the car I will give them a ride in it."
