The Chamber has displayed the Kashmiri handicrafts in 27 stalls. Among them is the very popular Pashmina Shawl. Pashmina is considered to be the Queen of all wools and it originated in Kashmir some 100 years ago. The art of making Pashmina shawls is said to be more than 3,000 years old. The yarn is spun from the hair off the Ibex which is found at 14,000 feet above the sea level.

The other famous shawl is the Woolen Shawl. They are popular because of the embroidery. The embroidery is known as ‘Sozni’ and is usually done in form of ‘Motifs’, which are abstract designs of paisleys or flowers worked in one, two or three colours.

In addition to this, there are exquisite bed covers, rugs and wall hangings.
