Free medical camp in Ras Al Khaimah on Friday

Ras Al Khaimah - "More than 20 general practitioners, 30 specialists, 20 consultants and 150 paramedics will work together."

The Indian Relief Committee (IRC) is gearing up for a free medical camp on Friday.
"More than 20 general practitioners, 30 specialists, 20 consultants and 150 paramedics will work together for the success of the camp," said social worker Prasad Sreedharan. "It will start at 8am and registration will continue till 3pm."
The camp comprises specialty clinics such as orthopaedic, general medicine, surgery, paediatrics, gynaecology, dermatology, neuro medicine, endocrinology, urology, nephrology, ophthalmology, ENT, cardiology, radiology and dentistry.
"The head of breast clinic from Saqr Hospital, Ministry of Health, is leading a breast-screening for females. On-site mammography will be available with the support of Pink Caravan," Sreedharan said.
Ultrasound will also be done on the spot while other examinations will be done by specialists, he said.
Some of the tests that will readily be available at the camp include echo exams, mouth cancer screening, blood sugar and blood pressure check and body mass index evaluation, among others.
Medication will be given to all, and free transport from various parts of Ras Al Khaimah will also be provided.
