Dubai- Do you know how many calories your burger has and what the salt content is? Customers can now ask McDonalds everything about the food they are about to eat.

A new initiative ‘Your right to Know’ was launched on Mondayby McDonalds Arabia, the company that serves its famous McFries and Chicken McNuggets.

Yousif AbdulGhani, Vice President and International Relationship Partner of McDonalds Middle East Development Company said,"Transparency is key to every business, particularly in today’s world where customers demand more information and transparency to allow them to make informed decisions.”

In 2013, McDonalds posted nutritional information on its packaging including a breakdown of calories, fat, sodium, protein and carbohydrates for each product.

In 2006, it also opened its kitchen to the public. asmaalizain@khaleejtimes.com
