The organising committee of the Pink Caravan Ride, the annual pan-UAE breast cancer awareness initiative by the Friends of Cancer Patients, has announced that over 3,000 men and women, including citizens and expatriates, have received breast cancer screenings in the first six days of the 10-day trek.
The riders will arrive in Dubai today to provide breast cancer screenings before heading towards Al Ain, and later Abu Dhabi, where the ride will culminate on Tuesday.
Starting their journey on horses from Ajman’s Corniche earlier and after stopping at the Sharjah Ladies Club, the riders rode to the Heart of Sharjah and from there to Khalid Lagoon and then Al Majaz Waterfront as the final resting place on the sixth day.
Today and tomorrow, the caravan will be in Dubai. The clinics will operate at Ousha Bint Hussain Cultural Centre and Dubai Police Clinic. It will go on to Al Ain on Monday, where the clinics will be set up at Al Ain Municipality and Al Salamat Family Park.
