Shadwell Farms joined hand with the Jebel Ali Racecourse management to make it memorable day for the race fans. The winner of the race will secure a line up in the Dubai Golden Shaheen Gr-1 Sprint on the Dubai World Cup night.

Sharief Al Halawani, manager of Jebel Ali racecourse, said all arrangements have been taken to welcome the valuable spectators and their families in the penultimate racing day of the season (Al Satwa Meet). “I would like to thank our partners, Shadwell Farms, for their great support and backing to our races,” he said. “Under the patronage and guidance of Shaikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the management of the Jebel Ali Racecourse is proud to welcome you all to attend the closing meet of the season, before the curtains are pulled down on one of the busiest season,” he said.

“As usual, and in a move to secure the utmost atmosphere full of joy and relaxation, we have established a series of services and facilities, where the big number of the public can enjoy with ease,” he confirmed.

“There is plenty in the stores for the race goers,” Al Halawani promised. “Parachute shows, folklore bands from various parts of the world and much entertainment for the children,” he said. The management has provided buses to pick up the fans and their families from the car park to the public stand where they will be seated. Special places have been reserved for women. Medical service and first aid points have been arranged along the course to attend to any emergency cases. Food and beverages are also provided through special outlets. Al Halawani also said special gifts will be distributed for the spectators, families and children along with the pick-six coupons at the entry gates. “This is over and above the many valuable prizes which will be put on raffle through the free coupons which will also be distributed at the entry gates. In addition to the prize-money which could be won by the highest tipsters, there is also cash prizes which will be drawn in-between the six races,” he explained.

“The doors will be open from 10am to secure the smooth admission and avoid any possible congestion that could be encountered at the gates.

The draw will start from 12 noon. The convenience of the spectators is a top priority,” he said. “A brand new full option 2007 Nissan Sunny will be put on raffle by the end of the sixth and final race against special offer for Dh10/-only. Coupons will be sold at special points at the public stand,” he said.

“There will also be a number of surprises for the families and the public as well. The families would be able to enjoy the race while the management is taking care of their children in a special ground that have been prepared for them to run and play safely. There is also a special entertainment programme that has been tailored to suit the children and adults at the back yard of the course,” he said.
