The play's the thing
We've got something a little close to home for you this weekend. New hit play Park, written by Manav Kaul and directed by Gaggan Mudgal, will be staged at the Khaleej Times office in Al Quoz at 6pm on Saturday evening. The piece centres on three men as they battle over the choice seat on a park bench. With each character's claim obviously being more legitimate than the others', laughs are sure to ensue. Shop for style
Modista Exhibition brings Padmasitaa by Padmini Kolhapure, Gauahargeous by Gauahar Khan, Anushree Reddy and others along with a mix of accessories, jewellery and lifestyle goods to The Roda Al Murooj Hotel, this Saturday from 10am. Pierchic in Jumeirah has launched a brand-new Saturday brunch experience - Ocean Vibe, an upmarket French party with a live band. Complementing the restaurant's variety of organic seafood, meat and vegetable dishes, it's available from 12pm to 4pm on Saturday starting from Dhs375.

Park Music
Malhaar Centre for Performing Arts is putting on Music in the Park- Baisakhi Special on Friday at 6pm at the JLT Park amphitheatre, Jumeirah Lakes Towers. The event is free for all. This musical series in the park is a community enterprise in Dubai where the artists of Malhaar will collaborate with other local artists to bring music to the emirate's community for free in a lovely space.
Keeping fit
Club Vista Mare on Palm Jumeirah is hosting an invigorating eighth edition of Core Beats - the free beach yoga and fitness concert on Saturday. Fitness Beats will start at 5pm, with a 60-minute calorie-busting, HIIT workout conducted by experts from top fitness center, BARE- Jade Palmer and Herns Agyemang-Duah. The Korean Cultural Center is holding the Korean Cultural Event at the American University in Dubai, starting 5pm on Saturday.  IMFACT, a K-Pop boy band, will be the guests of honour alongside instrumental band SOPUNG who will blend Korean traditional music and contemporary beats. It's time to BLOCK.IT.OUT and party under the stars as Yas Marina is inviting you to party for the last time before the end of the season.  With the promenade transformed by 'festival feels', Yas Marina is holding its Block Party on Friday with nine bars and five bands involved for one night only.
