Carl Cox to Play Atlantis in March

LIVE @ ATLANTIS will throw open the floor to legendary DJ and producer, Carl Cox on Friday, March 21, for one night only, where the godfather of dance music will show the region’s musos exactly what they’ve been missing since his last gig in the UAE back in 2007.

From his 1980s days riding the British rave music wave, opening for Danny Rampling’s Shoom nightclub and co-promoting The Project with Paul Oakenfold, Carl had a taste of pop star life in the 1990s when his track with Perfecto, I Want You (Forever), scaled the UK charts, as did his next two tunes. But instead of slotting into the 1990s as a mainstream DJ success and taking the natural route of the decade into house and trance, Carl moved his energy into the far more hardcore music realm – jungle and techno.

The noughties saw this mix-master set up his own label, Intec Records, now Intec Digital, remixing tracks for the likes of Eric Powell, Sander Van Doom and Moby, and releasing his album All Roads Lead to the Dance Floor in 2011 – which Carl counts as ‘the most forward-thinking album I have ever made.’

His Global show for BBC Radio One has broken listenership records year-on-year, and with 12 years in residence at Space, Ibiza Carl Cox comes to Dubai on the back of a very successful 2013.
