IT SEEMS THAT everywhere you go nowadays, creativity is blooming.

The ongoing Dubai art season has underlined the city’s reputation as one of the world’s fastest growing destinations for art and culture. Shows and exhibitions, including the artist-led Sikka Art Fair (pictured right), have seen robust interest from the community. The fair is so popular that Dubai Culture plans on extending it until April 15.

The Fair, as well as Art Dubai and Design Days Dubai, are three of the main events that comprise the season, bringing together creative minds from across the region. Boasting workshops, panel discussions, live art installations, multidisciplinary ensembles, talks, and cross-discipline performances, visitors have had the chance to see a number of exciting emerging Emirati artists as well as influential worldwide names.

Focus on the arts will continue with Middle East Film & Comic Con, being held from April 3 to 5 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, and Gulf Film Festival, from April 9 to 15 at DUCTAC, Mall of the Emirates. Both events have been fan favourites.
