Beliebers, ready for the Biebs?
This is one concert music lovers have been anxiously waiting for a very, very long time! Canadian heartthrob Justin Bieber is finally here to perform at the Autism Rocks Arena on Saturday as part of his Purpose World Tour. We heard this is his only performance in the area, so better be there! The last time the singer was in town, the demand for tickets was so high, Bieber had to sing the next day too. Afrojack & Rick Ross
There's a massive party happening this weekend at BASE. Afrojack will be behind the decks to kick off the prodeedings on Thursday with an electric set from his catalogue of hits. He is known for creating some of the biggest club hits of recent times as well as producing and remixing for some of the leading names in the music industry. Lion king
The Choir of Lycée Libanais Francophone Privé is presenting its latest musical production, The Lion King. Inspired by the Disney animated classic, the musical of the same name is being staged on Saturday at Auditorium l'Alliance Française, Oud Metha at 3pm. Entry is free. Call 04-3358712.
Italian art
Here's an exhibition that aims to promote Italian art and encourage young Italian artists in Dubai with special focus on contemporary Art. Classical stuff
Game for a evening of mesmerising Indian melodies. Carnatic genius Padmashri Aruna Sairam and a troupe of classical singers are going to unleash some magical tunes at DUCTAC on Friday and Saturday. Best baritone
One of the most fascinating baritones of our times is going to take to the stage on Friday at One & Only Royal Mirage, Dubai. Russian sensation Rodion Pogossov is famous for his Figaro from Barber of Seville and the hilarious Pagageno in Magic Flute. The maestro will be accompanied by Semjon Skigin on the piano. This is touted to be the largest event for video games and digital entertainment industry in the Middle East. Enough reason for gamers to take a trip down to the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) on Thursday, where they will experience a variety of video games, online games, mobile games, edutainment and even some Next Gen platforms. If you thought Mike Tyson had hung his gloves and gone into hiding, think again!
