Be like Jenny From The Block as her personal hair stylist Lorenzo Martin will make his way through exclusive appointments at the newly opened Jose Eber LaLoge beauty lounge at The Address Montgomerie, Dubai today.
A Californian native, Lorenzo has been JLo's trusted stylist for over 15 years. Some other notable names among Lorenzo's clientele include Catherine Zeta-Jones, Sophia Bush, Kelly Clarkson, Anastasia, Radha Mitchell and Heather Locklear.
Here we speak to the LaLoge salon founder Reem Abou Samra about her venture and what to expect from a typical visit.
What does your salon offer Dubai that is different from the others?
LaLoge looks to fill the gap of luxurious grooming in Dubai. Having experienced the diverse styles and techniques around the world with my partner, Lubana Sakkal, we decided to combine all of this expertise under one roof. It offers an opulent setting that is unlike any other in the city. We have gone to great length to add luxury to every corner of venue and this can be seen in the gold mosaique-tiled walls, the grand crystal chandelier and Fendi furniture.
The partnership and presence of renowned celebrity stylist Jose Eber adds to our unique offering. Jose Eber and a number of celebrity stylists will continuously be training and developing our beauty experts on the latest styling technology, trends and techniques. This is an element that will ensure the consistency and ongoing improvement of our offerings.
What do you believe is your most exclusive treatment? What makes it so special? What treatments do you most go in for?
We have a number of treatments that are exclusively offered at the salon; these include the Diamond Facial, the Gold Facial, the Organic Oil Hair Treatment and the Caviar Hair Treatment. The two facial treatments give shine and glow to your skin while removing dead cells. The two hair treatments rehydrate the scalp, soften the hair and provide extra shine while also being one of the most effective treatments for rescuing and repairing dry ends - a hair condition many people suffer from in the Gulf region.
The treatment I love going to the salon for the most is a blow out as it makes maintaining my hair so much easier. It gives my hair such a fabulous look and feel compared to when I do it at home. What many people don't realise is that for a great blow out, the angles, brush type and size used with the perfect amount of pressure and repetitive motions are imperative for avoiding hair breakage and preserving vitality.
What made you decide on the Montgomerie as a location?
The Address Montgomerie adds to the glamorous and sophisticated experience. Clients can have their beauty and grooming treatment done in the backdrop of the lush and majestic golf courses of the hotel.
How closely did you work with Jose? How did the relationship come about?
I used to be a regular customer of Jose Eber back at his salon in Los Angeles and that is where we actually became good friends. When I came up with the concept, I decided to pitch the idea to Jose as I knew that the presence of an international stylist would not only give the salon credibility but also add to its grandeur. We work quite closely on a regular basis to chalk out future plans for LaLoge.
What have you got coming up in the future?
Aside from Lorenzo who is in today, we are planning to hold a majestic launch event for LaLoge mid-January. It will be everything the brand stands for: luxury, glamour and the wow factor.
We will have a number or celebrity stylists coming through Dubai as part of our mission of bringing Beverly Hills to Emirates Hills including Jose Eber himself!
