For a taste of the great outdoors, Emirati style, a new exhibition set to launch this week will be showcasing the best of local life.
Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) is set to host the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX), the only consumer and trade event in the region dedicated to showcasing traditional Emirati sports, culture and locally-made handicrafts.
The 11th edition of ADIHEX, organised by Emirates Falconer‘s Club, will run from September 4 - 7 and will feature displays of traditional hunting excursions and equestrian shows demonstrating Emirati horsemanship. Camel and horse auctions will also be staged, and visitors can view exhibitions of Emirati paintings and photography as well as experiencing first-hand sessions of Nabati poetry.
In addition, exciting events including a Falcon Beauty Contest will give away attractive prizes worth over a staggering Dhs500,000. The Arabian Saluki Beauty Contest will also invite owners of the breed to enter their pets to win cash prizes, plaques and certificates. For those looking for a jolt, an Arabic Coffee Brewing Competition that requires contestants to roast, grind and brew coffee beans also promises to draws participants and spectators in large numbers.
