Beginning tonight, three Irish comedians prepare to entertain UAE crowds
WITH ST. PATRICK’S Day just around the corner, the Punchline Comedy Club has announced an all Irish line-up for its latest stand-up tour.

Beginning tonight at Emirates Golf Club, comics Chris Kent, Colm McDonnell, and Andrew Stanley will entertain audiences in the UAE and beyond during their six-date visit.

After winning his first comedy award in 2009, Chris Kent has risen quickly through the ranks - supporting the likes of PJ Gallagher, Ardal O’Hanlon and Colin Murphy throughout his homeland. The Cork native is known for his self-deprecating style, and last year his Edinburgh Fringe Festival show Second Fix was described by The Scotsman as, “Compelling, truly surprising (and) beautifully delivered.”

Colm McDonnell is a diminutive storyteller, originally from Dundalk but based in London. He has supported Scottish everyman Kevin Bridges on tour and appeared at comedy festivals from Edinburgh to Adelaide, as well as notching TV credits on The World Stands Up and Under the Influence.

Upbeat in style, Andrew Stanley is another international performer and Edinburgh Fringe Festival regular. The curly-haired sports fanatic, who originally wanted to be a pilot before finding his place in the entertainment world, has appeared in shows including Andrew Stanley’s Comedy Mish Mash and On Sale Now, both of which received rave reviews.

The comedy kicks off at 9pm. Tickets for all shows are priced at Dhs150, excluding food and drinks, apart from the Emirates Golf Club show and The Clubhouse Abu Dhabi, which are priced at Dhs200 including pub grub food.
