Ten Ramadan tents to try out in Abu Dhabi

The essence and spirit of the holy month of Ramadan can certainly be felt throughout the UAE Capital, which has become an idyllic Ramadan destination. The magnificent tents, which open their doors only for Ramadan, overflow with authentic themes of this special month. Here are the top 10 crafted options that offer a sense of togetherness and embody the spiritual journey of Ramadan, to try out before the holy month ends.
Ramadan Pavilion
Known to be one of the most iconic hotels and tourist destinations in the UAE Capital, Emirates Palace holds luxurious Ramadan treats, and this year is no exception. The tent, which serves Iftar and Suhour, is located near the waters. Special performances by Oud players and traditional Arabic songs fill the air of this extravagant Ramadan Pavilion.
Cost: Dhs320 per person
Suhour at Mijana
This year, the opulent hotel is offering unique experiences during the holy month. The Iftar venue at Giornotte is decorated with Arabic lanterns and traditional fabrics and offers a large buffet. Whereas the Suhour at Mijana is tucked away in the illuminated palm garden, and offers a variety of board games to entertain families and friends.
Cost: Dhs235 per person (Suhour is from the à la carte menu)
Al Andalus Tent
Located in The Fairmont Bar Al Bahr, Al Andalus Tent offers authentic Arabic culinary meals, as well as a live Oud player. There is a large buffet for Iftar, including breathtaking live cooking stations. The tent also offers inspiring views of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque.
Cost: Dhs235 for Iftar, Dhs180 for Suhour
Crystal Ramadan Tent on Abu Dhabi Corniche
Opened for the first time in the UAE Capital, the Crystal Ramadan Tent  offers families a large buffet with traditional Arabic food, as well as international cuisine. The tent also has VIP seating, live music, including Oud players, and enormous screens, for all the football fanatics to indulge in this Ramadan.
Cost: Dhs150 per person for Iftar, Suhour is Dhs75 per minimum spend
Al Barza Tent
Located in Sofitel Abu Dhabi, the tent offers guests a wide range of colourful dishes from its expansive buffet. The tent is decorated in drapes, stars and canopies, fit for a marvellous Ramadan.
Cost: Dhs225 per person
Al Seefa Ramadan Tent
Located in Sheraton Hotel and Resort, the Al Seefa Ramadan Tent is a family friendly spot. The massive tent, which fits more than 450 guests, offers a delightful Iftar and Suhour, with a wide variety of traditional Arabic dishes on the menu. The tent also has an Oud player and a large television screen for fans to watch sports.

Sofra Bid
Located in The Shangri-La Hotel, the venue offers a stunning Iftar, in an air-conditioned and tented lounge by the pool. The venue will operate throughout the holy month of Ramadan.

Al Maryah Ballroom
Located in Four Seasons Hotel Abu Dhabi, the luxurious ballroom tent is inspired by traditional Arabic designs. The ballroom offers a wide selection of cuisines and even live cooking stations.
Cost: Dhs200 and Dhs100 for children under 12 (free for children under 3)
Al Majlis on Al Hudayriat Island
Located on the 3,0000-hectare Al Hudayriat Island, the newly opened Al Majlis is decked out in an opulent Ramadan theme. The Majlis offers a wide range of dishes and Arabic cuisine from its stunning buffet, as well as private seating.

Hala Ramadan Tent
Hilton Abu Dhabi's tent, the Hala Ramadan Tent,  is open for Iftar and Suhour. The menu includes a superb buffet with traditional Arabic food, as well as international cuisine. There is also a traditional Oud player, who is performing throughout Ramadan.
Cost is Dhs210 per person
