Food and music lovers were given a big helping of both at the biggest ever opening of Taste of Abu Dhabi du Arena over the weekend. Thousands enjoyed an unforgettable menu of live entertainment, international celebrity chefs and the city's finest restaurants. Legendary reggae band The Wailers set the tone for the evening with their sweet sounds and world-famous hits including One Love, Buffalo Soldier and Is This Love.
Reza Mahammad, Jenny Morris, Siba Mtongana, Eric Lanlard, Valentine Warner, Suzanne Husseini, Nikita Gandhi, Jose Pizarro and the duo of Steven Edwards and Joshua Stanzl delighted food lovers with top tips and techniques in the Quooker and Lurpak Cookery School and OSN-Food Network Chef's Theatre.
The festival, which got over yesterday, offered 130 dishes from 25 of the city's best restaurants.
Live entertainment continued throughout the weekend with performances from 4THEMUSIC, The Maplejacks, DJ Superfly and Leading Lights Productions.
The festival was also bursting with fun for children, with the Funky Monkeys Kids Zone serving up a range of creative activities including pizza making and cookie decorating sessions.
