Film industries across the world, Bollywood and Hollywood included, may be going through a controversial phase right now. But that is no reason to paint a negative picture of the industry as such, feels popular South Indian actress Bhavana.
In Dubai to attend the official launch of celeb designer Rehana Basheer's new outpost on Al Wasl Road, Jumeirah, on Monday afternoon, the actress, looking as pretty as ever made a fashionably late but charming entry to the event.
Initially clad in a low-key pastel outfit, she soon changed into a gorgeous maroon velvet lehenga giving off bridal vibes to those gathered to catch a glimpse of her. While her forthcoming wedding to her fiancée Kannada actor/producer Naveen, early next year, must have been foremost on her mind she wasn't averse to answering a few questions on the current situation of the Malayalam film industry.

"There is nothing wrong with the movie industry, just wrong with some people's mind," she said passionately in response to our query as to whether the industry was being looked at suspiciously of late.
"You can see so many star kids have come into the industry - if there was something wrong with the industry do you think their parents will let them? No, they will stop their kids in the first place itself, so there is nothing wrong in the film industry as long as you are very passionate about it."

The actress was last seen in the Prithviraj thriller Adam Joan. citytimes@khaleejtimes.com
