Watch your favourite stars sparkle in Dubai

It’s time to make your choice among the super five megastars Kalyan Jewellers has lined up for the inaguaration of their six stores across the UAE. We bring you a lowdown on where you can go to catch sight of Amitabh, Aishwarya, Manju Warrier, Nagarjuna and Prabhu this Thursday.

IT IS GOING be a difficult choice for many come Thursday when they will be forced to choose one among their favourite five stars who will be present for the launch of Kalyan Jewellers’ stores across the UAE.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna, Prabhu and Manju Warrier will be gracing this occasion. Ramesh Kalyanaraman, Executive Director, Kalyan Jewellers says, “Aishwarya will be promoting our product whereas Amitabh Bachchan promotes our values and our tradition”.

While Malayali heart-throb Manju Warrier will be the common factor, present at all the stores, if you want to spot either of the Bachchans, then there are only two places you need to go to.

Amitabh Bachchan’s stay A special elevated stage will be set at a car parking area in Meena Bazaar where Amitabh Bachchan will be present for the grand opening of the store.

Considering this area is quite populated, and will draw more crowds for the occasion, around 120 security men will be deployed to ensure a smooth event flow. Dubai police will also have a significant presence all through the day at various places.“Since we expect a huge crowd in Meena Bazaar and Bur Dubai for Mr Bachchan, we have taken the car park area and will have the function over there on stage, in case we find it difficult to bring him to the showroom because of the crowd we will have the inauguration on the stage itself. Only for him the inauguration will take place on the stage, whereas with other stars it will happen inside the showroom. We think this is the first time Mr Bachchan is doing a public function in Dubai so we are expecting a huge crowd.” said Ramesh Kalyanaraman.

Bachchan is expected to arrive in Dubai on December 26 afternoon by a chartered flight and will stay at Conrad Dubai where there will be movement restrictions on his floor.

The management and staff of Kalyan Jewellers have been busy for the past four months finalising the dates of all the stars. Chairman and Managing Director T S Kalyanaraman tells us that though it was a mega project, getting approval from all these stars wasn’t difficult since the company has built a close-knit family relationship with all of them and not a commercial one.

• Prabhu and Manju Warrier at Hamdan Street, 
Abu Dhabi: 10am
• Prabhu and Manju Warrier at Al Ghuwair, Rolla, 
Sharjah: 11.45am
• Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Manju Warrier at Damascus Street, Al Qusais (Opp Grand Hotel): 1.00pm
• Prabhu and Manju Warrier at Karama 
(Opp Karama Park): 1.45pm
• Nagarjuna and Manju Warrier at Al Fahidi Street, 
Bur Dubai: 3.30pm
• Amitabh Bachchan and Manju Warrier 
at Meena Bazaar (Opp Cosmos): 4pm
Lavish spread of chartered flights
Amitabh Bachchan is not the only star to arrive by chartered flight to Dubai, even Manju Warrier will be going by a chartered flight to Abu Dhabi with the management of Kalyan jewelers before proceeding to the Sharjah store launch.

Gala evening with 6 stars
In the evening there will be a gala ceremony where singer Shankar Mahadevan will be performing and all the six stars will be present for this star studded show. Over 2000 people are expected to attend this invite-only event.

Lavish spread of chartered flights
Amitabh Bachchan is not the only star to arrive by chartered flight to Dubai, even Manju Warrier will be going by a chartered flight to Abu Dhabi with the management of Kalyan jewelers before proceeding to the Sharjah store launch.

Aishwarya Rai will reach Dubai on December 25 and will stay on for a short holiday. Her mother Brinda Rai and daughter Aaradhya will accompany her.
Telegu super star Nagarjuna will arrive on the 26th and return on the same day since his father is not keeping well.
Prabhu will arrive in Dubai on December 24 and leave on the 27th.
Manju Warrier who has the most hectic schedule and will be present for the launch of all six stores will reach Dubai on the 24th and leave on 27th.
