96-year-old man feeding wife on date goes viral

A photo of a 96-year old man feeding his 93-year old wife has gone viral, pulling many heartstrings in the process.
According to a story shared on the Love What Matters Facebook page, the couple will be celebrating 75 years of their marriage in June. The story also disclosed that the wife is suffering from Alzheimer's disease - a disease that makes those suffering it lose their memory. The disease is also notorious as it is the cause of 60-70% cases of dementia. 
In the photo sent by an anonymous user on the Facebook page, the man is seen feeding his wife. Since posting, the photo of the couple has gone viral with over 142,000 reactions and 28,817 shares.
The senior couple sure brings back memories of the film (and novel) The Notebook which is also about a husband taking care of his Alzheimer's stricken wife. If you think those kinds of scenes of everlasting love only happen in the movies, then this couple is proving otherwise. They are also proof that age cannot stop you from going out on dates with your loved one.

The user who shared the photo added: ".he told me he was 96 and his wife who is 93 is suffering from Alzheimer's. This is their date night. He also told me that if they make it till June, they will be celebrating 75 years of marriage!"
