PM called for a special meeting; Pakistan to respond at the time, place of its choosing.
The prime minister called for a special meeting, which was attended by top ministers, military and civil officials, where the forum denied India's claim of the anti-terror strikes.
"A special meeting of the national security committee chaired by the prime minister was held at Prime Minister's office today. The meeting was attended by ministers of foreign affairs, defence, finance, chairman of joint chiefs of staff committee, COAS, CNS, CAS and other civil and military officials," a statement on Khan's Instagram account said.
"The forum strongly rejected Indian claim of targeting an alleged terrorist camp near Balakot and the claim of heavy casualties. Once again, the Indian government has resorted to a self serving, reckless and fictitious claim. This action has been done for domestic consumption being in election environment, putting regional peace and stability at grave risk."
The prime minister said media persons will be taken to the site of the supposed impact to verify India's claim/Pakistan's denial themselves.
"The claimed area of strike is open for the world to see the facts on ground. For this the domestic and international media is being taken to the impact site," the statement added.
