Malabar Gold & Diamonds, one of the largest jewellery retailers globally, has inaugurated two new stores in India — one in Malleswaram, Bengaluru and the other in Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh.

The Srikakulam store was inaugurated by Dharmana Krishna Das, deputy chief minister and minister of revenue; Thammineni Seetharam, speaker at the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly; and Dharmana Prasada Rao, member of the Srikakulam Legislative Assembly. The Malleswaram store was inaugurated by deputy chief minister of Karnataka, Dr Ashwathnarayan C N.

“Our retail expansion is a part of our strategy to become the number one gold jewellery retail brand in the world, in terms of both showroom count and sales. We have plans to triple the number of showrooms in the next five years,” said M P Ahammed, chairman, Malabar Group.
