The voter percentage in the recent Karnataka elections declined by 1 per cent compared to the previous years, and this is not an encouraging trend. It seemed people in the city were not keen on voting because many of the promises were not met. However, it is encouraging that the elderly showed interest in voting. The exit polls predict a hung assembly. In that case, the powerful man will be former chief minister and JDS leader HD Kumaraswamy. However, there are many predictions. We will have to wait for the results to know who or which party will emerge winner.
