This is with regards to the column "When a classic bike connects generations, (KT, Nov 23).

I could relate well with the article. I got my Yamaha RX 130 after convincing/arm twisting my parents during my college days. I was the only Yamaha rider in my family. My cousins rode between them a Yezdi classic, the Yezdi road king and a 1970s bullet. I was not attracted by the Yezdi, and it was only when my cousins left for greener pastures leaving behind the Yezdi that I rode it. The first roar of the engine, and I felt a wave of energy flowing through me. By the time I was in the 4th gear, I was in love with it. My memories with the bike are mine and mine only. Just as the author and his brother have planned, we have also decided to buy a couple of bikes to share within the group.
