The article, Keep calm, avoid pointing fingers after Lanka blasts (KT, April 22) is the most sensible and authoritative article I have read on the tragedy. April 21 was a black day for us; we lost a beautiful friend at the Shangri-la breakfast hall. Razeena Kader Kukkadi was more than a sister to me. If the blasts were masterminded by an Islamist group, well, I have not seen a more tolerant and understanding person than Razeena.
If the blasts were planned by the Tamil group, she and her father always supported the soft demands of the Tamil ethnic society. If the blasts were orchestrated by the Buddhists then she could easily represent the Buddhist love for nature and living things.
We just bid goodbye to her husband Kader Kukkadi who is on his way to Colombo to attend the funeral of his wife. The burial must be over now, and Razeena has gone back to the place she came from.
