A super keepsake

Your special edition marking the anniversary was indeed a keepsake and I have preserved my copy. It certainly gives one an idea of how time has passed and the role of KT in recording the developments not just here but around the world.

People of this generation may not appreciate the yeoman service you all have done when the newspaper and two radio and TV news bulletins were the only source of hard news…if you missed the news you waited in the morning with baited breath for the paper to slap against the door so you could connect with the world.

One day, if it went missing you felt the world had started without you. That delightful 30/40 minute read is still the best time of the day and electronics might give you instant information but they are not going to replace the crispness of paper. You see, even in the paperless offices, paper is still used, ironically sometmes more than before. Anyway, that is besides the point, just to say well done, keep it up and make the KT better by the day.

Nostalgic piece of work

Outstanding works are always merited with bookmarks in history. The supplementary edition on April 16, 34 Pages from the Past does just that.

Please accept my heartfelt congratulations for this thoughtful and nostalgic piece of work. Personally, I have always stuck to my decision that Khaleej Times is the best newspaper in the region and I am glad to feel vindicated by the phenomenal work put in by the editorial board.

I wish you many more years of success and I am sure you will continue to connect the UAE with the rest of the world.

News on the move

I love the Khaleej Times and its web site. It keeps us updated every minute. The news reports are factual and the editorials impressive. Although I am in India, I am kept well informed of the happenings in the Gulf as well as in the world.

Rekha Vinod: gr8 look! enjoyable read as usual!!

Munir S Mithaiwala: Very digital look

Abida Ali: Oh wow...great, Congrats Khaleej Times

Tasneem Virpurwala: Hearty congratulations. May you prosper more. Excellent look.

Raj Nbr: Great for the anniversary but not for the new look, or rather the older look of drop-down menus... it looks outdated and looks like a vintage newspaper with the chosen font-style.

Faezel Fernandes:Happy 34th anniversary.... love the new look!
