Between the 1950s and 1980s, no successful film could be made in India, without him as a villain or a character artist.

Due to his impressive histrionics he was the most dreaded villain on screen, and yet he still transformed himself into a great character artist.

As a villain he was so feared that for decades no child in India was named Pran!

He acted in over 400 films and show-cased his boundless talent in a range of roles and emotions. He will be missed in Indian cinema.
