Charges of corruption, where inferior materials are used and, in some cases, inadequate planning with some contractors bypassing legal aspects of building regulations, should be investigated.

Such incidents that have claimed over thousand lives, are nothing short of homicide, 
and builders and owners complicit in these shoddy constructions, must face the full might 
of the law.

The modern obsession with cheap labour (sweatshops), and knowingly allowing the churning out of garments and other consumables in millions, disregarding safety, shows also a culture of mass consumerism without due caution to life and/or environment.
