Modi government should intervene to address the issues of doctors in India

It was a state where legends like Rabindranath Tagore and Mother Teresa spent their lifetimes.

The ongoing strike of doctors in West Bengal, India, is of concern. Doctors are being insensitive, the state government is being adamant, and the central government in Delhi is avoiding to intervene in order to keep the federal structure sacrosanct. What's making the matters worse is that doctors in other parts of the country are also going on strike to show solidarity with their colleagues in West Bengal.
It was a state where legends like Rabindranath Tagore and Mother Teresa spent their lifetimes. West Bengal is known for its highly educated, literate and intellectual population; a state that has kept its pride high in-spite of lack of a sustainable model of governance; growth and development is now suffering and the state is in the news for all the wrong reasons. Strained political relations with the centre, political murders, and now doctor's strike.
It is okay to protest and make their grievances heard, but it is not okay to put human lives at stake. By not seeing the patients, doctors are doing injustice to the noble profession. The Centre should intervene and help resolve this issue at the earliest.

The recent strike by doctors in West Bengal has now spread to other states, causing a lot of discomfort and inconvenience to patients. The state chief minister has not aptly handled the situation. Essential services like medical should not be disturbed. The government should act fast.
