The fastest lap point can be crucial when the championship is on a knife-edge but it has also become a part of strategy, sometimes controversially when used by teams with common ownership

We are living in a fast-paced world, and often don't expect people to go out of their way to help. Yet, there are examples galore and I was fortunate enough to experience one recently. It was a weekeday when I happened to drop by at an Indian restaurant for a quick breakfast. I had parked in a rush, without the parking ticket. The machine wasn't working. So after my meal when I was going towards my car, I saw an RTA inspector doing the rounds and slapping fines on the cars who hadn't paid for parking. Luckily, I ran to him and apologized for not putting the parking ticket on the dashboard. I mentioned that the machine wasn't working. He suggested I should have used the Mparking option, but I didn't have credit in my phone, I replied. The inspector was calm and patient to hear me out and asked which car I was driving.
He did not fine me. I am glad there are people who are humble and willing to hear us out.
This is how we should approach and interact socially. The RTA officer was a good Samaritan, and I'll remember his kind gesture.
