Time for Barbie to retire

It's her 61st birthday, and yet she sports a blemish-free and a smooth skin. I am talking about Barbie, the Mattel doll. It is surprising to see her still entertaining children and being their favourite companion, when the retirement age for many is 60. But maybe it is time to let her rest. She has been a role model with over 200 different occupations, including US president, TV chef, McDonalds cashier, and even a bee keeper.
With the changing world and the need for good role models there should be a wider range of possibilities beyond one piece of plastic.
