"Wearing red lipstick, in my opinion, is the simplest way to make an impact. As soon as I slick it on, I feel instantly pulled together, more powerful, more womanly. I wear it all, almost every day,” femalefirst.co.uk quoted Ora as saying

The 22-year-old started experimenting with red lipstick in a bid to give her daring style more edge as a teenager.

”My taste for standing out started when I worked at a sneaker store in high school. People would constantly compliment me on my bright trainers, and I found myself loving the unexpected attention,” she said.

”It got to the point where I actually started feeling disappointed when no one said, ‘Oh, I like that!’ I soon added the red lipstick for extra punch, and it’s been a staple ever since,” she added.

The “How We Do” singer also feels a connection with the strong and inspirational women in her family whenever she wears the beauty product.

”Singer Gwen Stefani and late actress-model Marilyn Monroe are my inspirations. But the deep connection I have with red lipstick stems from women in my family.

”My mother and aunt and granny were these strong women who wore it and looked incredibly glam. They truly knew how to embrace makeup,” said Ora.
